St. John’s Episcopal Hospital South Shore is a 332-bed community teaching hospital serving Far Rockaway and the Five Towns, an area that is densely populated, culturally and economically diverse, and medically underserved. An 11-story facility, St. John’s is also connected via a covered overhead walkway to the 163-bed Bishop Charles Waldo MacLean Episcopal Nursing Home.
Accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Inc. and the American Osteopathic Association, this voluntary hospital has one of the finest graduate medical education programs in the metropolitan area.
